Trump Orders Military Strike on Vessel Linked to Terror Group

On Friday, President Donald Trump shared that he had instructed a military strike against a ship tied to a terrorist organization involved in narcotics trafficking within the jurisdiction of the US Southern Command. This action was confirmed to have resulted in the deaths of three individuals associated with drug trafficking.

Trump released a video that captured the moment the vessel was hit and subsequently engulfed in flames. He emphasized that the attack was carefully executed, stating, “On my order, the war secretary commanded a movement attack on vessels owned by designated terrorist groups that engage in narcotics trafficking in the US Southcom area.” He pointed out that intelligence assisted in identifying known trafficking routes that harm Americans with illegal substances.

The operation occurred in international waters, and Trump noted that there were no US military casualties involved. He remarked, “The strike killed three men on a drug boat in international waters,” and further expressed that it was critical to combat the fentanyl crisis and other illegal drugs that inflict violence and terror on the American public.

This announcement came just days after Trump stated that the US military had acted against a Venezuelan cartel with renewed vigor. He had reiterated that the fight against violent drug trafficking and narcoterrorism would continue with determined efforts.

In a recent Twitter post, he mentioned, “This morning, on my order, the US military instituted a second strike against highly violent drug trafficking organizations in the Southcom area.” This ongoing initiative indicates a firm stance against drug cartels, which the administration categorizes as terrorist organizations, including notable groups like Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel.

Earlier this month, US forces had already successfully targeted a drug-laden boat in the Caribbean, an operation where nearly a dozen narcoterrorists were reportedly killed. Clearly, this strategy aligns with the administration’s ongoing crackdown on narcotics-related threats emerging from Venezuela.
