Fast police pursuit results in fatal shootout with murder suspect near California In-N-Out.

A man suspected of murder was killed in a shootout outside an In-N-Out Burger following a high-speed chase across Southern California, according to authorities.

The suspect reportedly hijacked a vehicle and was armed, though the details of the weapon haven’t been disclosed. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirmed this information.

After the shooting, officers shared details regarding the suspect’s vehicle with nearby law enforcement agencies. Subsequently, around 12:18 a.m., the stolen Kia Sorrento was spotted entering Laguna Beach.

However, when Newport Beach officers attempted to stop the car about thirty minutes later, the suspect fled, leading to a multi-agency pursuit.

Eventually, the suspect drove into the Laguna Hills business complex where the burger joint is located, exited the vehicle, and began firing at police officers with a semi-automatic handgun, according to reports.

Tragically, a video that surfaced shows patrons scrambling for cover as the chaos unfolded, capturing the panic of the moment.

The suspect was shot during the event, received initial treatment at the scene, and was later taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Miraculously, no police officers were hurt in the incident.

Authorities are encouraging any witnesses to come forward with photos or videos related to the event as the investigation continues.
