Charlie Kirk Memorial Ceremony Scheduled in Arizona
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk is set to be honored this Sunday at a large public event featuring speeches from President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Kirk’s memorial comes as part of Turning Point USA’s “American Comeback Tour,” following his previous service ceremony at Utah Valley University on September 10. It is expected to draw tens of thousands, including prominent White House officials and young conservatives, all potentially affected by his passing at the age of 31.
Trump has expressed his intention to attend the memorial, albeit with a notable admission of struggling to articulate his feelings about the situation. “He had an army of young people,” Trump remarked. “They loved him so much. So they’re devastated now. Everyone is devastated.”
Live Update: Charlie Kirk’s memorial service takes place today at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA, established in 2012. The organization issued guidelines ahead of the event that include a patriotic dress code and a strict no-bag policy.
The memorial, titled “Legacy Building: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET). The event’s website notes that attendees will be admitted based on the stadium’s capacity.
State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, offers 63,400 fixed seats but can accommodate over 73,000 for larger events.
