Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt has dismissed claims that Emperor Tom Homan Border received cash bribes from FBI agents during the Biden administration.
Over the weekend, reports from various media indicated that the FBI recorded Homan accepting $50,000 from an undercover agent posing as a business executive. In return, it was suggested that Homan agreed to aid in obtaining a government contract after he was appointed to his role in the Second Trump administration.
“FBI agents have infiltrated and attempted to target one of the president’s key allies and supporters,” a source said.
Homan became a focal point for the Biden administration’s FBI after alleging that “another investigation subject” was “seeking payments in exchange for awarding contracts to influence the presidential election.” This was highlighted in a report based on a summary from the Department of Internal Justice.
The report also accused President Donald Trump of stalling the previous administration’s FBI and Justice Department, which allegedly led to the case’s closure.
FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche spoke to the media regarding the situation.
Abigail Jackson from the White House Deputy Press Office labeled the investigation as “outrageously political,” asserting that there is “no evidence of illegal activities.”
During a Monday press briefing, reporters pressed Leavitt on the investigation, including whether Homan would be asked to return the $50,000 he purportedly accepted from the FBI agents.
“Mr. Homan never received that $50,000 you mentioned, so you should really check your facts,” Leavitt replied. “Moreover, this showcases yet another instance of how Biden’s Justice Department is weaponized against one of President Trump’s most ardent supporters during the election season.”
Leavitt indicated that Patel’s FBI had also looked into the matter.
“They found no evidence of any illegal or criminal activity, and the White House, alongside the president, stands firmly behind Tom Homan because he did nothing wrong,” she stated.
