The Trump administration shared a video poking fun at former President Joe Biden and his use of an autopen.
Throughout his term, Biden utilized the autopen for various orders, including some contentious amnesty measures. Critics have since claimed that his former staff may have used it unlawfully without proper consent from Biden, who seems to be experiencing a decline in recognition ability.
“Unelected aides operating the autopen lack the authority to issue pardons according to the US Constitution.”
On Wednesday, the White House released a video featuring a portrait in “President’s Walk of Fame.” The Biden portrait was humorously swapped out with an image where the autopen had signed a document.
This video was shared on the social media account of Margo Martin, a special assistant and communications advisor to the President, as well as on the official White House account.
The post has garnered over 1.8 million views on the X platform.
Biden has strongly denied any inappropriate use of the autopen during his presidency.
“They’re lying. They absolutely know that. Look, they did manage to do something decent here. They have been blatantly dishonest about almost everything they’re doing.”

Republican Senator Ted Cruz from Texas suggested that an explanation of how Biden’s autopen was used for the Times should actually undermine Biden’s stance and prompt a Justice Department investigation.
“They have no legal justification and no recommendations from me. [Attorney General] Pam Bondy and the Justice Department “noted in July” that they should specifically focus on the most vulnerable individuals and strategize legal challenges to contest them, indicating that unelected staff managing autopens do not have the power to grant pardons under US law.
