Donald Trump Is the Sole Person Capable of Bringing Peace to Gaza

Qatar’s PM Looks to Trump for Peace Efforts in Gaza

NEW YORK – Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jasim al Thani, expressed to Breitbart News that he believes President Donald Trump is the key figure capable of assisting the entire Arab world in achieving peace in Gaza.

“I think the meeting between President Trump and Arab and Muslim leaders was really significant,” Al Thani remarked. “It was an important event during the UN General Assembly. The aim was to highlight the dangers in the region to the president and to urge him to intervene concerning Israel’s actions. There have been multiple calls for the U.S. president to address this, and he seems to feel that everything should start in Gaza and then build from there.

Al Thani spoke for about half an hour in a discussion with Breitbart News at Qatar’s permanent mission to the United Nations on Thursday afternoon. This interview took place following Trump’s meeting with Arab leaders after his speech at the UN earlier this week, notably after Israel’s decision to conduct military strikes aimed at Hamas negotiators in Doha’s capital. The ramifications of these Israeli attacks are still unclear, but the resulting injuries to many, including the death of at least one security official, have infuriated both Qataris and the wider Arab community. Trump later stated that he viewed the attack as neither productive nor beneficial for the U.S. or Israel.

“The bombing of Qatar, a nation that is actively working to mediate peace, will not help advance either Israeli or American objectives,” he stated.

Reports have surfaced suggesting that Trump had been briefed about the impending strike by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but Trump has denied such claims. Meanwhile, he hosted discussions at Trump Tower regarding the issue, meeting with Arab leaders in New York, and is set to welcome Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for a state visit at the White House.

In a meeting earlier this week, Al Thani told Breitbart News that he believes Trump is dedicated to fostering peace in Gaza.

“The president has reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the conflict in Gaza,” Al Thani stated. “He mentioned that he’s collaborating with his team on a peace plan and we’re here to offer support to ensure they receive backing from the region.”

The Arab world has expressed outrage over Netanyahu’s actions regarding Doha. Most Arab leaders have criticized him, with King Abdullah II of Jordan voicing his disappointment during his address at the UN.

Al Thani conveyed that the Arab community, as well as the global audience, is looking to Trump with hope, waiting for Netanyahu to halt such actions and ultimately bring an end to the Gaza conflict. He asserted that Trump is the “only person” who could effectively reach Netanyahu.

“We’ve worked with the president and his administration on various conflicts, not just in the Middle East but also globally. Once he assumed office, he recognized the need for policies that could end the war and usher in a new era of prosperity,” Al Thani said. “When collaborating on these matters, it’s not just about our region; it’s about fostering peace and stability elsewhere as well. It’s crucial to witness the president’s commitment to PEACE in the Middle East. Any proposals Trump has made should not undermine the U.S. efforts.”

When Trump visited the Middle East earlier this year at the start of his second term, many Arab leaders were optimistic that his return would lead to a peaceful resolution in the region. Al Thani noted that Trump visited Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar during that trip. When asked if he still believes in Trump’s capability to succeed here, Al Thani responded affirmatively, referencing Trump’s UN speech and subsequent discussions with Arab leaders.

“We still have hope,” Al Thani stated. “What I heard from the president a couple of days ago was very uplifting. We need to get back on track and hope that Netanyahu reconsiders his approach, not just for Qatar but for other partners in the region.”

Al Thani emphasized once more that Trump is the only one capable of instigating meaningful change.

“If anyone can restore stability in the Middle East, it’s him,” Al Thani told Breitbart News. “Currently, the main obstacles are caused by Netanyahu and his actions. I don’t believe anyone but President Trump can rein him in.”

When questioned whether this perspective sets Trump apart from others globally, Al Thani hinted that unique leadership traits may contribute to his potential success in this matter.

Details from Al Thani’s exclusive interview with Breitbart News will be available soon.
