Taylor Swift was spotted shielding herself under an umbrella upon arriving for Selena Gomez’s wedding festivities.
The singer, known for “Blank Space,” was filmed on Friday in a dark shirt as she disembarked from an aircraft at Santa Barbara Airport. A photo captured only part of her, showing just her elbow as she stepped down.
Bystanders were seen carrying luggage and white boxes, possibly gifts for Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco.
As Swift made her way down the flight stairs, she quickly hopped into a waiting black SUV.
Representatives for Swift did not respond right away when contacted.
According to sources, Swift, who is 35, will be staying in a private rental home for security reasons over the weekend.
“She’ll be renting a house close to the wedding venue, which is not public knowledge,” an insider mentioned. “I think her security team feels more at ease there compared to a hotel.”
Gomez, aged 33, and Slanco, who is 37, are set to have their wedding at a private estate in Santa Barbara on Saturday, kicking off what is said to be a romantic two-day celebration.
Earlier in the month, a source revealed that all guests would be picked up without knowing where they were headed, adding an air of mystery. “Despite the secrecy, there’s a lot of excitement. Everyone is really looking forward to it,” they commented.
As for Swift, it’s uncertain if her fiancé, Travis Kelce, will attend the wedding festivities since he has a game scheduled against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Gomez announced her engagement to Slanco via social media back in December 2024, playfully noting, “Yes, I’ll be a flower girl.”
In August, Gomez shared sweet sentiments on her platform about Swift’s engagement to Kelce, posting, “When Besties gets engaged,” alongside their engagement announcement.
The friendship between Swift and Gomez dates back to the late 2000s when Gomez dated Nick Jonas and Swift was with his older brother, Joe Jonas.
Gomez also shared throwback messages from Swift dating back to 2009, reflecting on their engagements. “Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just what we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe it. You will too,” Swift tweeted years ago.
This arrival under the umbrella comes after Swift’s low-key entrance at the Chiefs vs. Eagles game on September 15, where she appeared through a concealed entry.
