Israeli Air Force Targets Gaza
On Saturday, the Israeli Air Force launched attacks on approximately 120 sites in the Gaza Strip. These operations targeted structures, tunnels, and surveillance areas believed to be utilized by militant groups as Israel stepped up its military actions in the area.
Reports indicated that several gunmen were killed, and munitions like rockets and other weaponry were recovered.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) shared footage of a drone strike that eliminated two individuals digging to plant explosives.
In a tweet, the IDF remarked, “A terrorist in Gaza city was seen digging into the ground to plant explosives and trying to conceal it under a blanket. They were neutralized in an accurate IAF strike.”
The recent airstrike resulted in at least 44 fatalities, according to Gaza health officials, who expressed difficulty distinguishing between civilians and combatants amidst the chaos.
This air assault followed growing international calls for an end to the ongoing conflict, which has persisted for two years.
In a related matter, Israeli authorities are investigating reports of numerous citizens being approached by individuals posing as agents of Iran’s intelligence agency, allegedly making intimidating calls in Hebrew.
These recorded messages were interpreted as coercive and as attempts at recruitment, according to Israeli officials.
One recorded message mentioned that “Iran’s intelligence agency is looking for official agents, offering competitive salaries, comprehensive security, and more.” This information was relayed on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the terrorist group Hezbollah commemorated the anniversary of the assassination of its leader, Hassan Nasrara.
Nasrara was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut, an event that drew thousands of Hezbollah supporters to his burial sites for a memorial on Saturday.
