Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Concerts Due to Health Issues
Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of several upcoming concerts in Las Vegas on the advice of her doctors.
The 79-year-old artist shared on Instagram that she will need some time to recuperate but reassured fans that she isn’t stepping away from music anytime soon. “Unfortunately, we want fans to hear directly that future Las Vegas concerts need to be postponed,” she wrote. “I’ve been facing some health challenges, and my doctor mentioned that a few steps need to be taken.”
Dolly Parton’s Health Concerns
The renowned singer, known for hits like “Jolene,” is set to perform six shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace later this year. She joked about her situation, saying, “It must be my 100,000-mile medical check-up time. Seeing my plastic surgeon isn’t exactly your typical appointment.” Her playful tone shifted as she expressed concern about her ability to prepare a show to her usual high standards.
“You pay good money to see me, and I want to give you my best,” she said. Parton emphasized that working on upcoming projects in Nashville requires some time for preparation. “And don’t worry about me; I feel I’m not done yet.”
The country icon also remarked on the need to slow down, implying it might be necessary for engaging with her audience better. “I appreciate your understanding and love,” she added, acknowledging her fans’ support.
Recently, Parton missed an event at Dollywood, which celebrated a new attraction. She explained her absence, saying it was due to health reasons.
During the event, Parton disclosed that she is dealing with a kidney stone that has caused some complications. “The doctor told me I should take a few days to heal and avoid traveling right now,” she noted. “I really wanted to be there, though.”
