Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins taken off the field after serious leg injury against the Jets

Tyreek Hill, the star wide receiver for the Dolphins, experienced a serious injury when his left foot twisted in an awkward direction after a tackle during Monday’s game against the Jets.

The injury, which has since been identified as a dislocated knee by ESPN, took place early in the third quarter. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with Hill on a 10-yard pass near the sideline, but as Jets’ safety Malachi Moore attempted to tackle him, Hill’s left foot became trapped and bent unnaturally.

Medical personnel quickly rushed to his side, stabilizing his leg before helping him off the field at Hard Rock Stadium.

The medical team focused on his knee, removing his cleats, while Hill’s mother made her way to the field, as reported by ESPN’s Katie George. Despite the situation, Hill managed to smile and wave at the crowd as he was taken to the tunnel.

The Dolphins later confirmed Hill suffered a knee injury and was transported to a local hospital for further imaging and evaluation.

At the time of his injury, Hill had six receptions, totaling 67 receiving yards for the night, contributing to the Dolphins’ lead over the Jets.

Miami capped off their drive with a touchdown when Tagovailoa connected with tight end Darren Waller, increasing their advantage to 17-3 with 11:33 left in the third quarter.

Overall, Hill has tallied 15 receptions for 198 yards and one touchdown in the first three games of the season.

In his first two years with the Dolphins, he racked up over 1,700 yards, though his performance took a hit in 2024.
