Discussion on Charlie Kirk’s Death and Public Reactions

A while ago, conservative figure Charlie Kirk was murdered, and podcaster Joe Rogan noted something interesting: he hadn’t seen many so-called progressives mourn his death. Rogan shared his surprise during a recent episode of his podcast.

“I didn’t expect so many people to celebrate the man’s murder,” he remarked. The response from Brandon Coleman, the guest and vocalist of a country rock band, was one of agreement. “That’s evil,” he said.

Logan pointed out the oddity of “normal people,” who see themselves as good, actually celebrating someone else’s demise. “I think they’ve been indoctrinated. I don’t agree with everything Charlie Kirk said or did,” he added cautiously.

Maher expressed some admiration for conservatives like Kirk for promoting dialogue, while criticizing those on the far left who celebrated his death.

“I don’t care if he’s a bad guy or not,” Coleman declared, voicing his disapproval of reactions to Kirk’s murder.

Logan, surprised by the age at which Kirk was killed, mentioned that Kirk was known for engaging with students on university campuses. “He pissed people off because they felt he was against societal progress,” Logan reflected.

One of the more troubling aspects, he noted, was the fact that an average person had cheered for the killing simply because they disagreed with Kirk’s views.

Further framing the conversation, Coleman noted, “There’s a huge blowback about this Charlie Kirk incident.” He argued that regardless of politics, “someone was shot in front of the world,” which many perceive as fundamentally wrong.

Logan criticized what he considers hypocrisy, stating that many on the left—who present themselves as progressive and caring—seemed to be celebrating violence. It’s a complex situation that leaves many questions hanging in the air regarding societal values and accountability.
