Second Man Arrested in San Antonio Mass Shooting

A second individual has been apprehended following a mass shooting in San Antonio, which tragically resulted in the death of a young girl. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 20-year-old Brian Salazar is in custody, facing multiple serious charges, including murder, child injury, and firearm-related offenses.

On May 8, 2024, four-year-old Marie Anne Marble was shot and killed when a suspect opened fire with an AK-47-style weapon. Several others in the home were also injured during the incident.

Earlier, Isaiah Perales was arrested in October and subsequently charged in January with similar offenses linked to the shooting, including murder and aggravated assault.

Surveillance footage from the scene showed two masked suspects invading the residence and firing weapons, with a bright flash from a gun observed as they executed the attack. The suspects quickly fled the area.

Moreover, local reports indicate that a total of four people were injured during the shooting, alongside the unfortunate death of Marie Anne.

Authorities traced Salazar’s involvement using tips from Crimestoppers and data from his phone. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar suggested that revenge could have been a driving factor behind the attack. Reportedly, Salazar’s relative, Xavier Perez, was killed just weeks prior to the shooting, which the sheriff believes may have prompted Salazar to plan the assault.

The suspects allegedly took a stolen Infinity Q50 vehicle that was used to carry out the attack. Sheriff Salazar described it as a premeditated act, stating that they monitored the vehicle before executing their plan.

The investigation is ongoing, with police looking into a potential third suspect. “This is a significant case,” the sheriff remarked. Investigators are actively seeking more information and encourage anyone with knowledge to come forward.
