As the annual fees for travel credit cards rise, there’s an increasing need to keep track of various benefits associated with them, whether they reset quarterly, monthly, or biannually. Thankfully, managing this has become easier than ever.
To assist you, we’ve developed an enhanced tracking tool for the American Express Platinum Card. This tool has been expanded and now supports nearly 20 different cards from American Express, Chase, and Capital One. We believe it’s user-friendly and an excellent way to keep tabs on your credit card perks. Oh, and it’s completely free!
If you want to start using it, just provide your email to stay updated. I’ll get an email to you shortly, and you’ll also be added to our free weekly newsletter covering points and miles. If you’re already subscribed, feel free to enter your email again.
These spreadsheets simplify organization by compiling everything in one spot. Once you choose your cards, they will automatically show up as tabs. From there, you can easily record each credit or merit used. It’s really straightforward.
Additionally, the tool offers features that are hard to find elsewhere, such as:
- A notification system for credits approaching expiration—unused credits turn red if they’re set to expire within the next 30 days, or if they have only two weeks left.
- An automatic accumulation of the total value you earn as you mark each credit, which is then displayed in green at the top of the spreadsheet.
- The ability to adjust the perceived value of each credit; for instance, I don’t value certain subscriptions on my Platinum card at their full price, maybe considering them closer to $100 or even less.
- Customizability for benefits like lounge access and free baggage, allowing you to track how often you use them.
You might think it’s a bit excessive to need a spreadsheet for such tracking. And perhaps it is, but that’s the reality we’re facing.
Cards You Can Track
This latest version now supports several popular cards, but we have plans to include even more, like those from United, City, Hilton, and Marriott.
If your card isn’t listed or if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. We’re continuously working on improvements!
