AJ Brown Clarifies Recent Social Media Posts
AJ Brown, the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, wants to explain his recent social media activity. He described it as a moment of venting following a frustrating game.
After the Eagles triumphed over the Buccaneers, Brown shared a biblical poem on his X account. However, his performance on the field was less than stellar—he only managed 7 yards from two catches on nine targets.
The 28-year-old acknowledged that the post stemmed from “frustration” after a tough outing, emphasizing that his discontent wasn’t directed at quarterback Jalen Hurts or his teammates.
Still, he remains vocal about wanting more opportunities on the field.
As the Eagles look to defend their Super Bowl title with a perfect start of 4-0, Brown has tallied 14 receptions, averaging 10.8 yards per catch. So far, he has found the end zone just once.
Despite voicing his feelings, Brown affirmed his commitment to the team. “I don’t see it as a bad thing to want the ball,” he remarked to reporters. “It’s not just about targets; it’s about contributing to the team’s success. When we’re struggling, I want to be the one who can make a difference.” He added, “When the game is on the line, I want the ball.”
Brown is clear about his intentions, wanting all to know he’s ready to step up when it matters most. Despite his public frustrations, he expressed how much he values his place with the Eagles. Still, there were reports suggesting that Philadelphia could consider trades for wideouts if issues persist.
Brown and the Eagles are now set to face the 2-2 Broncos this Sunday, aiming to maintain their undefeated streak.
