Unique Treasures at Rick Harrison’s Pawn Shop
Las Vegas – Rick Harrison’s Gold & Silver Pawn Shop isn’t just a pawn shop; it’s a place where history and unusual items come together. Known for the hit show “Pawn Stars,” this shop draws about 1,200 visitors daily.
Inside, Harrison and his team showcase an assortment of intriguing items, from ancient coins to distinct memorabilia. Recently, he shared some of the rarest collectibles for sale.
One standout item is the Apollo Lunar Lander lift thrusters, which were originally used to train astronauts for moon missions. Harrison recounted how a man found it at a military auction in Southern California, where it was simply sitting there. He recognized a NASA tag and bought it for $300, later bringing it to Harrison’s shop.
According to Harrison, they had to verify its authenticity. He explained that, before landing on the moon, crew members practiced with similar equipment. He referred to the thruster as something Neil Armstrong might have seen during training. Harrison mentioned that the shop acquired the piece for $13,000, making quite the profit for the original owner. The asking price now? A cool $25,000.
Besides the thrusters, the shop also features a Boston Red Sox World Series ring made of 14k white gold, adorned with 21 rubies and 22 sapphires, and surrounded by 128 diamonds. This ring is available for $78,500. Harrison remarked, “I have something in every price range,” indicating that visitors can find items from cheap postcards to rare collectibles.
Among the eclectic items is a leather jacket signed by Henry Winkler, known for his role as “The Fonz” in the classic sitcom “Happy Days.” Harrison joked that anyone his age should have such a piece. There’s also a genuine samurai sword from the 1800s, which Harrison noted had likely never been used.
With such a diverse array of items, it’s no wonder that Gold & Silver Pawn Shop continues to attract a steady stream of curious visitors eager to explore its history and treasures.
