Amy Schumer Showcases Weight Loss Transformation

Amy Schumer, the 44-year-old comedian, recently took to social media to flaunt her notable weight loss. On Saturday, she shared photos of her impressive transformation while attending a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas, dressed in a sleek black dress and heels alongside two friends.

Her friends and fans were quick to express their admiration for her progress. Comedian Anjelah Johnson commented, “It’s okay Amyyyyyyyyy.” Isla Fisher also chimed in, noting, “Okay leg legs!! These feet are ❤❤❤️❤️.”

Earlier this year, Schumer candidly discussed her troubling experiences with weight loss medication on The Howard Stern Show. She revealed how she battled severe sickness during pregnancy due to a specific gene and had tried Ozempic nearly three years ago, resulting in her being bedridden.

“I lost 30 pounds very quickly,” she shared, noting that while she looked great, it came at the cost of not being able to lift her head off the pillow. “So what’s the point?” asked Schumer, who is a mother to a four-year-old son named Jean, with her husband, Chris Fisher.

Originally approved by the FDA for type 2 diabetes, Ozempic is also used off-label for weight loss. Schumer previously admitted to feeling pressure when celebrities claimed they achieved weight loss simply by eating smaller portions, insisting she didn’t fully disclose her use of injectable medication.

Reflecting on her experience, she stated, “A year ago I tried it. It’s like you try it out, but I felt so bad and couldn’t play with my son. I’m so skinny, and he’s throwing the ball at me. [I couldn’t].” This led her to realize it wasn’t a sustainable way to live.

In a recent Instagram video viewed by nearly 13 million followers, Schumer spoke positively about another medication, Mounjaro, known as Tilzepatide. She mentioned her past use of Wegovy, while also expressing concerns about safety during her video.

“I didn’t know if they changed the formula but… I decided to try something new,” she explained about shifting her approach after a telehealth consultation.

Alongside injections typically prescribed for diabetes, Schumer has also integrated hormone therapies into her routine. “They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was around menopause,” she noted, adding that the changes have greatly improved her well-being.

With increased energy, improved skin, and a fuller head of hair, Schumer reflected positively on her experiences, acknowledging the desire for further changes while also emphasizing the importance of sharing her journey.
