Details Emerge on Tyler Robinson’s Movements Following the Shooting of Charlie Kirk

OREM, Utah – Recent insights indicate that Tyler Robinson allegedly entered and exited the campus at various times, notably after engaging with police stationed there following the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10th.

Robinson, dressed in black, arrived around 11:51 AM, parked his gray Dodge Challenger nearby, and moved toward the center of the campus, passing through a tunnel beneath Campus Drive. Law enforcement has reportedly tracked his movements using campus security cameras.

He was believed to have been wearing fresh clothing just hours before the incident, and it’s suggested he carried a .30-06 Moser rifle, a weapon allegedly used in the shooting.

According to police sources, Robinson may have used the rooftop above the Losee Center as a vantage point and fired a single shot. There are indications—possibly marks left by his body—that suggest a location where he might have taken cover.

Imprints related to his escape have also been discovered, including muddy footprints and evidence of where he might have positioned himself. Surveillance footage from the FBI showed a suspect resembling Robinson in similar sneakers.

Once the crowd reacted in chaos, Robinson reportedly fled north across the rooftop, before dropping down and sprinting across Campus Drive.

Later, authorities found the suspected murder weapon concealed in a nearby wooded area, wrapped in towels, just feet from where he was believed to have crossed the street.

Prosecutors shared an excerpt from a text exchange between Robinson and his roommate, Lance Twiggs, which took place on the evening of the attack. Twiggs is cooperating with investigators and has not been charged.

While law enforcement conducted searches in the vicinity, Robinson texted Twiggs to check “under my keyboard.” There, his roommate discovered a note claiming, “I’ve got the opportunity to take Charlie Kirk out and I’m going to take it.” Twiggs later forwarded a photo of this note to a detective.

In another text, Robinson expressed his reluctance to leave Orem, saying it wouldn’t be long before he could return home but he still needed to keep his rifle. He even mentioned wanting to maintain his secret plans until much later in life.

Robinson caught the attention of law enforcement due to unusual behavior post-shooting, including a series of messages indicating his intentions and concerns about getting caught.

Investigators later identified the .30-06 rifle as matching DNA found on three out of four bullets that were discovered wrapped with towels along with the weapon.

Robinson is facing serious charges, including aggravated murder, unlawful firearm discharge, and tampering with witnesses and evidence.

Charlie Kirk, a prominent figure and founder of Turning Point USA, was speaking at Utah Valley University when he was tragically shot and killed during his “American Comeback Tour.” He was survived by his wife and two children.
