Chaotic footage captures erratic driver crashing into ICE vehicle in Chicago during a series of assaults

A disturbing video has surfaced showing a reckless driver ramming their vehicle into a Chicago immigration and customs enforcement truck amid rising tensions against federal agents.

This unsettling incident occurred as a black SUV was filmed plowing through an ice truck caught in a traffic jam, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security.

The driver aggressively pursued the ice truck, repeatedly colliding with it right in front of bystanders who appeared shocked by the unfolding chaos.

Numerous federal agents managed to draw their firearms to prevent the driver from escaping the scene.

As of now, it’s unclear if the driver has been apprehended.

This attack comes on the heels of another violent incident in the city, where Border Patrol officers shot a woman during an altercation with an angry crowd of anti-ICE demonstrators, who surrounded federal agents with a convoy of ten vehicles.

Two individuals, identified as Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Lewis, have since been arrested and labeled as “domestic terrorists.”

“The situation has escalated as more domestic terrorists converged, hurling smoke bombs, rocks, and bottles at the law enforcement officers,” the DHS stated.

Several border patrol agents reportedly sustained injuries as the violent events unfolded.

“Attacks on our brave law enforcement must come to an end,” said DHS Deputy Director Tricia McLaughlin.

In response, Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem has dispatched a special operations team to Chicago.

“Commander Norm is working to deploy extra resources to restore order and ensure that terrorists cannot attack our law enforcement,” McLaughlin added.

“If you confront law enforcement, you will face the full consequences of the law.”
