Jena Sims Shares Heartbreaking News of Miscarriage
Jena Sims, a swimsuit model and wife of golfer Brooks Koepka, recently opened up about experiencing a miscarriage. On Monday, she shared this devastating news through an Instagram post that included a series of photos from her pregnancy journey.
“At 16 weeks, we learned that the baby’s heart had stopped beating. This is a sorrow that no parent is ever really prepared for,” she wrote in her emotional caption. “We are heartbroken, but we hold on to hope that one day we’ll welcome a sibling for our little one.”
She emphasized that many people face similar struggles in silence and highlighted the need for increased understanding and support for women confronting issues related to reproductive health. Sims reached out to others who might be dealing with pregnancy loss or infertility, reassuring them that they are not alone.
In her post, she also expressed empathy for healthcare professionals who often have to relay such heartbreaking news to their patients. “I want to acknowledge the doctors and nurses who deliver this kind of devastating information day in and day out. It must be one of the hardest parts of their jobs,” she wrote.
Sims and Koepka tied the knot in June 2022. Their first child was born in July 2023. Aside from her modeling career, Sims is a former Miss Teen USA contestant and has appeared in movies as well as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She also founded the Pageant of Hope, an organization supporting children facing significant life challenges.
