Kurt Warner takes to X to criticize the Jets during the game

Kurt Warner’s Reaction to Jets’ Loss in London

After the Jets’ disappointing 13-11 loss to the Broncos on Sunday, Kurt Warner didn’t hold back in expressing his confusion. The former Super Bowl champion, who was calling the game for the NFL Network alongside Rich Eisen, took to social media midway through to voice his bewilderment about the Jets’ final drive.

“Someone please explain the Jets’ last drive??? I don’t really understand what I just saw!” Warner posted.

Following the game, he added, “Just think you can get the game without a forward pass!!!!” His sentiments echoed the disbelief many felt during the match.

Warner was particularly stunned by events in the final two minutes before halftime when the Jets trailed the Broncos 10-6. In a surprising move, the Jets went into punt formation on a fourth-and-1. However, running back Breece Hall took the snap instead, but ultimately failed to secure the first down as time was running out.

“Oh, they’re going to do it,” Eisen remarked as the play unfolded. “There’s Breece Hall just a few yards away.” He pointed out that Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was yelling for everyone to hurry up. Warner’s frustration was palpable, indicating that he was trying to understand the decision-making process on the field.

Just after that critical moment, Jets quarterback Justin Fields was sacked on the next play, and time expired, leaving fans and analysts baffled.

Eisen, wanting to hear Warner’s thoughts, asked, “Kurt, you can’t be speechless, can you?…I want to hear your inner monologue.” Warner responded, suggesting that it would have been wise to let the Broncos use their last timeout before proceeding with their next play.

The atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was charged, with Eisen commenting on the crowd’s excitement, while he noted that both British and American announcers were left questioning what was happening. Meanwhile, Jets receiver Garrett Wilson appeared frustrated as he conversed with Glenn while heading to the locker room at halftime.

Sadly, the Jets struggled to gain momentum, with Fields being sacked nine times by Denver’s fierce defense. He finished with just 9 completions out of 17 attempts for a mere 45 yards.

Now at 0-6, the Jets will head into Week 7 as the only winless team in the NFL, set to face the Panthers (3-3) at MetLife Stadium.
