Team member spent an unexpected sum on high-end car services

The campaign of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) has spent over $35,000 on luxury limousine services from October 2024 to September 2025, as reported in Federal Election Commission filings. The details show that Tlaib’s campaign made payments totaling around $36,717 to Align Luxury Limousine Services, a company located in suburban Detroit. Numerous entries were classified as “travel expenses” or “transportation expenses” spanning nearly a year.

Payments for limousine services varied significantly, with individual transactions ranging from $118.80 to $1,326, while some payments fell between the $600s and $700s. Fox News Digital reached out to Tlaib’s team for further explanation about these costs but did not get a response right away.

Interestingly, Align Luxury Limo Services doesn’t have much public information available. However, a now-defunct website for DTW Chauffeured Rides, sharing the same registered address, claimed to offer luxury transportation services for over a decade.

According to the company website, they provided a diverse selection of vehicles, from classic limousines to modern sedans and SUVs, emphasizing their commitment to delivering an upscale experience at reasonable rates.

Tlaib, the first Palestinian-born woman elected to Congress and a renowned progressive figure, often critiques wealth and income disparity in the U.S. Recently, she co-introduced the CEO Pay Excess Act with Senator Bernie Sanders, aiming to combat corporate greed and high executive salaries.

In a recent statement, Tlaib highlighted how CEOs often earn “290 times more than the average worker” and noted the growing frustration among working individuals regarding corporate exploitation that leads to record profits. She expressed pride in collaborating with Sanders to push for measures addressing wealth inequality.

Previously, she condemned a significant budget proposal backed by former President Donald Trump, labeling it as harmful to communities amid stark income inequality. Tlaib criticized the budget’s impact on working families, particularly as many Americans live paycheck to paycheck.

She also noted how some congressional members are cutting essential nutritional aid for children while simultaneously approving substantial funding for wars and surveillance agencies, alleging this system prioritizes profit over people’s needs. In her view, those who supported such a budget have betrayed their constituents and should face consequences at the ballot box.
