New crime series reveals the investigation into serial killer Ted Bundy

The Haunting Legacy of Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy, a notorious serial killer, has left behind a chilling mark on the West Coast of the United States. Recently uncovered crime scene photos and audio recordings are starting to piece together the grim reality of his actions.

A new documentary series titled “Hunting Bundy: Chase the Devil,” which is streaming on Fox Nation, takes an in-depth look at how law enforcement from various states collaborated to bring Bundy to justice. Narrated by Martha McCallum from FOX News, it highlights the investigative efforts and vital evidence uncovered during the chase.

In the first episode, “The Devil is Coming to Utah,” viewers learn about Bundy’s escape to Utah while investigations were ongoing into a series of murders in the Pacific Northwest. The second episode, “Rocky Mountain Murders,” focuses on his eventual arrest near Salt Lake City.

Terry Wood, a former news anchor featured in the series, emphasizes the similarities among the victims found during this time. She notes, “There were too many coincidences for this not to be a serial killer.”

As Roger Dunn, a former detective, reflects on Bundy’s impact on American crime history, he acknowledges the complexity of understanding his actions, saying, “We’re dealing with something outside of the mold of what people think of as a murderer.”

The final episode, “The Monster Runs Away,” brings together detectives who strategized ways to finally apprehend Bundy. Author Kevin M. Sullivan notes that those involved were already certain of Bundy’s guilt and were focused on proving it.

Bundy confessed to 28 murders between 1974 and 1978, but some experts believe the real number could be much higher. After being convicted of three murders in Florida, he was sentenced to death and executed a decade later.

All episodes of this compelling quest to bring Bundy to justice are now available for viewing on Fox Nation.
