Jennifer Flavin, the wife of iconic actor Sylvester Stallone, recently shared her thoughts on the apparent rise of transgender youth in Hollywood.
During her appearance on the katie miller podcast, Flavin reflected on the possible reasons behind the increasing number of “children of famous parents” identifying as transgender. She suggested that celebrities might not fully grasp that these children aren’t merely extensions of themselves, but individuals who require “structure.”

“Hollywood seems to focus heavily on representation, which I get, and it’s important to express yourself,” Flavin mentioned to podcast host Katie Miller, who is associated with Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller.
“If today you feel like a cat, then why not identify as a cat? It’s a very fluid concept,” she continued, adding that she and her husband moved from California to Florida last year.
“I don’t think we quite realize that these kids are not just accessories; they’re little people who need some kind of structure—a framework helps them organize their thoughts,” she explained.
Flavin, who has been married to Stallone since 1997, pointed out, “When you grow up in an environment like Hollywood, structure is often absent. There’s so much happening around you: private jets, expansive homes, chefs, assistants, and housekeepers.”
“It leads to an overwhelming amount of everything, which can be really confusing for young minds,” Flavin noted. “It’s perfectly fine to explore identities as an adult, but please provide your child with some common sense.”
She took a moment to reflect on her own daughters, sharing, “They were tomboys who preferred pants to dresses and loved sports. I never labeled them as boys; I simply acknowledged their interests and said, ‘That’s fantastic!'”
There has been considerable discussion in the media about the noticeable number of celebrity kids revealing their transgender or non-binary identities, amid concerns that the entertainment industry is promoting these narratives widely.
