Pennsylvania man reportedly shot and killed his mother's boyfriend during an encounter in the victim's truck

A man from Pennsylvania, frustrated with his mother’s late-night romantic escapades, reportedly confessed to the police that he killed her boyfriend on Saturday while his mother was “stuck” in the victim’s truck.

Dylan Lang, 24, faces murder charges after he allegedly fired shots at his mother while she was with Robert Hagen Jr., 55, in a driveway. Officials mentioned that Lang claimed his mother and Hagen had been involved for several days. It appears he had been drinking on Friday night, returning home in the early hours to find them together, which led to the incident escalating.

According to police reports, Lang saw both adults “stuck” in Hagen’s truck, which was parked outside Hagen’s home in Jackson Township. He rushed outside with a 9 mm handgun, noticing his mother, her ex-fiancé, and two other relatives inside the vehicle.

Initially, Lang tried to aim at the driver’s side window, but it wouldn’t open enough for him to shoot. Instead, he allegedly shattered the rear window and fired two shots at Hagen from behind the seat.

Hagen sustained fatal injuries to his upper body while attempting to drive the truck out of the driveway, ultimately losing control as it rolled into the front yard.

During this chaos, Lang’s mother, who was still inside the truck, reportedly became frantic, repeatedly shouting, “You shot him!” at her son.

Lang also made a 911 call, telling the operator, “I just shot someone in the driveway. I felt bad.”

When police arrived around 4 a.m., they discovered Hagen dead in his truck, described as being “covered in blood,” with his pants around his ankles.

Currently, Lang is held without bail at the Cambria County Jail, facing charges for murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. A preliminary hearing is set for October 27. State police have taken over the investigation.
