Shocking video captures a woman assaulting a city bus driver before crashing into a restaurant, and she continues to attack him afterward.

A video recently surfaced showing a woman assaulting a male Metrobus driver in Madison, Wisconsin, prior to the bus crashing into a restaurant. The incident happened earlier this year, and what’s striking is that the woman continued her attack even after the crash.

Prosecutors reported that 26-year-old Raven Johnson struck the driver on February 25, reportedly after he informed her that her desired destination was not on the bus route. A local news outlet, Channel3000.com, has since released footage of the event.

The video captures Johnson attempting to insert her ticket while the bus driver tries to stop it from being put in the slot. Following this, Johnson began hitting the driver, who was seated at the time. As he attempted to shield himself from her attacks, the bus quickly lost control, veered to the right, and crashed into the Asian House restaurant.

Interestingly, the impact interrupted her assault momentarily. Johnson was tossed against the bus door—her wig apparently falling off during the scuffle—but she immediately resumed hitting the driver, even trying to pull him from his seat.

Two individuals, including the driver, sustained injuries from the accident, with one needing hospitalization, according to Channel3000.com. Furthermore, the back office of QPS Employment Group was severely damaged in the crash, along with the kitchen equipment of the Asian House.

In August, Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of reckless conduct endangering safety and attempted assault on a public transportation officer. Following this, she received a sentence of three years in prison. As part of her sentence, she is prohibited from using any Madison Metro facilities and is forbidden from consuming alcohol.

After serving her prison term, she will have an additional three years of supervised release. A restitution hearing is set for December 5, according to court documents.
