Ways to watch Game 1 of the World Series between the Dodgers and Blue Jays at no cost

The World Series kicks off tonight with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the defending champions, facing the Toronto Blue Jays in a best-of-seven matchup.

The Dodgers have made it to four out of the last eight World Series, securing victories in 2020 and 2024. They’re aiming for consecutive championships, something not achieved since the Yankees did it from 1998 to 2000.

The Blue Jays haven’t reached the World Series since their back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993. They’re only four wins away from the Commissioner’s Trophy but need to overcome the Dodgers. Blue Jays manager John Schneider has described the champions as “beatable.” Before Game 1, they welcomed Bo Bichette back to the roster after his knee injury sidelined him since September 6.

Starting Pitchers for the Game:

The Dodgers will start left-hander Blake Snell in Game 1. He previously opened the ALCS, throwing eight scoreless innings and achieving a record of 3-0 this postseason with an impressive ERA of 0.86 and 28 strikeouts.

For the Blue Jays, rookie Trey Yesavage will be on the mound. He’s the second-youngest pitcher to start a World Series Game 1, having pitched three games this postseason, where he racked up 22 strikeouts.
