Antifa Clashes Outside Portland ICE Center While Police Again Do Not Make Arrests

Chaos erupted over the weekend near an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, leading to several injuries as protesters clashed with conservative activists.

Interestingly, police did not report making any arrests.

The incidents began early on Saturday, with videos shared on X showing the turmoil unfolding at the location.

In response to the escalating violence, ICE personnel had to deploy rubber bullets and smoke canisters to disperse the crowd.

A group of masked protesters dressed in black fought with conservative activists, including one displaying a “Make America Great Again” flag. Independent journalist Cam Higbee was among those alleging that they were attacked during the confrontation.

The night was marked by violence, fireworks, and smoke, happening as the Trump administration sought a federal judge to remove a restraining order that limited the deployment of the National Guard to Portland, an area experiencing unrest for an extended period.

Reports suggest that the violent demonstrations in Portland and some other cities may be significantly funded by various left-wing donors and groups.

As previously noted by sources, the unrest isn’t just a spontaneous uprising of activism but rather has deeper financial connections.

Claims from the Government Accountability Institute indicate that prominent figures, like billionaire consultant Neville Roy Singham, are involved, allegedly collaborating with the Chinese government to spread propaganda.

Seamus Bruner from GAI shared insights into this funding network, noting that it involves various NGO connections beyond just the well-known Soros network.

There’s a web of NGOs at play. It’s not limited to the Open Society Network but extends to others like Arabella and Tides. Foreign funding is also a major part.

Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel emphasized that the agency is working on uncovering the connections and financial backing of criminal organizations, including Antifa.

He mentioned, rather pointedly, that they are pursuing numerous leads related to criminal activities involving powerful individuals, expressing determination to bring to light every detail.

Meanwhile, Portland police seem to have downplayed the intensity of the weekend’s events. Independent journalists have raised concerns about the police’s inaction regarding assaults reported by victims.

Harmeet Dhillon, a leading civil rights advocate at the Justice Department, accused police of providing protection to Antifa members during these riots. A video surfaced showing protesters hiding behind law enforcement while aiming flashlights at federal agents.

Police were seen shielding Antifa members from pepper balls typically used by federal security at ICE facilities.

Despite numerous witnesses to the street fight, the Portland Police Bureau did not make any arrests either during or after the altercation.

The PPB stated that their members did not observe any crimes committed that were serious enough to warrant intervention.
