Minnesota man confronts federal charges for claimed $45,000 Bondi bounty advertisement

A man from Minnesota, known for a violent past, is facing federal charges after allegedly posting a TikTok video that offered a $45,000 reward for killing U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. This has triggered an FBI investigation across two states.

In a recently filed affidavit, it was revealed that Tyler Maxon Avalos shared a disturbing image of Bondi with a red dot from a sniper scope on her forehead, captioned, “Wanted: Pam Bondi — Reward: $45,000 — DEAD OR ALIVE.” Beneath the photo, he added a troubling comment: “Cough cough. What if they don’t serve us?”

The video was reported by a TikTok user in Detroit, prompting authorities to investigate. Avalos was eventually arrested on Thursday at an apartment in St. Paul.

Digital records from TikTok, Google, and Comcast reportedly connect Avalos to the account @liminavoid Slip. Furthermore, he has a background of stalking and domestic violence.

Avalos, born in 1995, has a lengthy criminal history in both Minnesota and Florida. For instance, in July 2022, he was convicted in Dakota County, Minnesota, for a serious offense involving repeated harassment of a victim. Other charges date back to 2016, including a felony domestic violence conviction in Florida after an assault on a family member. He faced felony domestic assault charges in Minnesota as well but ended up with a misdemeanor conviction after a plea deal.

Investigators were able to trace Avalos through Google-linked Samsung devices and various data logs, which ultimately led them to his residence. His TikTok account contained symbols associated with anarchism and links to anti-government writings, including an anarchist FAQ book.

Federal authorities are taking this “killer-for-hire” threat seriously, asserting that it represents an actual intent to incite violence, which is a federal offense.

FOX News Digital has sought comments from the Department of Justice regarding this unsettling case.
