Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux to Return to Major League Wrestling

Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux are making a much-anticipated return to Major League Wrestling (MLW), with an upcoming match set for next month in Charleston, South Carolina.

Kross, competing alongside Bordeaux, will go head-to-head with former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle on November 20th at the MLW x Don Gato Tequila Live Wrestling Special, happening at Charleston Music Hall.

Since their departure from WWE, Kross and Bordeaux have been actively performing on the independent wrestling circuit. As a husband-and-wife team, they have a solid background with MLW, and their next match appears to have been a long time coming.

Kross shared, “We’ve always had great communication with MLW, Court Bauer, and the entire MLW team, and I think that goes back even before 2019. We grew up in the indies and have worked all over the world. Meeting Court a long time ago, we’ve kept in touch. So, it was a pretty straightforward decision once we reconnected. We thought it was the best fit for their audience.”

They are not alone; other former WWE talents like Riddle, Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, Shotzi, and Priscilla Kelly have also joined MLW in recent years. Bauer, who previously worked with WWE, played a role in establishing and revitalizing MLW.

Bordeaux mentioned that in the independent wrestling community, a common question is about which promotions provide the best experience. “When we ask our friends—who were also in WWE—about where they love working, MLW often comes up as a top choice,” she noted.

The matchup between Kross and Riddle is being called a “dream match,” especially as both competitors have garnered impressive fan bases in recent years.

Kross described his relationship with Riddle, stating he hopes they can stay friends after their fight. “I’ve known Matt for several years; he’s a close friend and my training partner. He’s legit, being a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. There’s something almost romantic, like the tough guy image of Clint Eastwood. He’s calm and reserved but goofy too, enjoying life and saying outrageous things. Some people seem to overlook his credibility as a martial artist,” Kross explained.

He added, “I’ve wrestled some amazing fighters, but Matt is on another level. I just hope this doesn’t affect our friendship post-match because things can get complicated when you’re in the ring. I have a job to do, and it can get intense.”

While Bordeaux isn’t listed for the November 20th card, her presence shouldn’t be underestimated. In 2019, Pro Wrestling Illustrated recognized her as one of the top 100 female wrestlers globally, and she holds championships from various promotions throughout her career.

She hinted at her return to the MLW ring taking a bit longer, saying, “Maybe it’ll be on Nov. 20, but it could be a little while. I just got back in the ring a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. I partnered with Jimmy Jacobs for a show in Detroit, with some more matches coming up.”

The event promises excitement, featuring Dijak and Dyer defending the MLW Tag Team Championship against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, the Opera Cup Finals between Místico and Volador Jr., and an appearance by wrestling legend Arn Anderson.
