Left-leaning TikTok users are actively promoting rioting and theft as a looming government shutdown threatens food assistance programs, specifically SNAP.
A man, visibly upset by an increase in Walmart’s loss prevention staff, urged social media followers to join him in opposing security personnel by helping others steal.
In a passionate video, he declared, “November has turned into ‘Help people steal’ month. It’s now ‘Help people live’ November. People have a right to eat. I don’t care about Walmart’s profit. If a security guard tries to block someone from taking food to survive, I’ll intervene.”
Recently, the USDA warned that SNAP benefits would not be fully available for the upcoming month due to current expenditure limits, impacting about 42 million recipients.
In the wake of this alert, a surge of videos advocating for violence and unrest has surfaced online. In one disturbing instance, a woman expressed her intent to “hunt down” and consume white individuals if food assistance was denied.
Another TikTok user claimed that Walmart’s shift to curbside pickup would incite more looting, exclaiming frustration with political leadership.
One individual even posted a video of themselves dancing, captioning it “It’s time to start looting.”
A young woman suggested plans to “go to the White House and start building windmills,” a euphemism for starting trouble, mentioning that “everyone is getting slapped in the face” – including babies and political figures.
Another claimed, “On November 1st, we robbed white people,” while discussing needing to securely hold her wallet.
Someone else queried, “When does the store looting commence? It’s gone from stealing to outright theft now,” reflecting a growing mindset among some users.
A young man argued in a video about the dwindling food stamp funds, stating that “stealing is never wrong.”
Several individuals have even begun boasting about their shoplifting exploits, with one showcasing stolen items taken from her Coach wallet. Another displayed the size of her wallet as evidence of her haul.
