Kaia sported a striking red sequined dress, accompanied by wavy hair and eye-catching earrings. On the other hand, 59-year-old Crawford donned an embellished, gold off-the-shoulder dress, styling her hair to complement her daughter’s look. She completed her ensemble with sleek black heels and a chic gold watch.
Kaia, 24, shared glimpses from the gala on Instagram the next day, captioning her post with a cherry blossom emoji and tagging both Gucci and LACMA. She called it “the hottest date with @gucci @lacma.”

Her post included a solo image, a video of the duo posing together, and various captures of their time at the gala. Crawford reciprocated by sharing her own post on Sunday, expressing, “One of my favorite dates @kaiagerber♥️ last night @lacma Art & Film Gala.”
This outing wasn’t their first together. Over the years, they have often been photographed side by side, reflecting just how alike they look. Their most recent family event was in April, when they attended George Clooney’s Broadway debut.
Kaia, who has grown up in the shadow of her famous parents, commented on the “nepo baby” discourse in a 2023 interview, candidly stating, “I don’t deny my privilege.” She expressed gratitude for the resources and guidance she’s received throughout her career.
In a lighthearted moment, Gerber joked about her mother’s influence, saying, “If you could call and book a Chanel campaign, it would be for me, not you.” But she acknowledged how fortunate she’s been to meet influential people through her mom.
Kaia began her modeling journey at just 10 years old, taking part in campaigns for Young Versace. By 16, she made waves at New York Fashion Week, walking for Calvin Klein. She later walked for major brands like Chanel and Prada in Spring 2018, showcasing her talent alongside her mother, who has been a fashion icon for decades.
In a reflective moment, Kaia shared how she felt a sense of reverence when her mother entered a room, recalling that the sea seemed to part, especially as she began her own modeling career. “Oh my gosh, your mom is such an iconic person,” people would say, and she’d think, “She’s just my mom.”
