Stephen A. Smith Exits Jerry Jones’ Suite During Cowboys’ Loss

Stephen A. Smith departed Jerry Jones’ luxury suite early during the Cowboys’ 27-17 defeat against the Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

With the Cardinals leading 10-0 in the first quarter, a fumble by Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson drew attention. An ESPN camera caught Smith sneaking a glance at Jones while they were together in the Owner’s Luxury Box at AT&T Stadium.

Smith, known for his outspoken critiques of the Cowboys on ESPN’s “First Take,” placed a hand on Jones’ shoulder, shook his hand, and left.

ESPN’s Troy Aikman and Joe Buck found the moment amusing. Buck quipped, “They say a picture is worth a billion words. Stephen A. seemed to say, ‘Good luck. I’m outta here. Time for social media.’”

Aikman added, “Look.”

Smith was in Dallas for “First Take,” where Shay Cornette stepped in as the new host after Molly Kerim’s sudden departure in September.

Jones also joined Smith for a live radio show broadcast from Dallas that same day.

Meanwhile, Eli Manning and Peyton Manning expressed their enthusiasm on ESPN2’s “Manning Cast.” Charles Barkley also joined in, playfully trolling Smith while clad in a pink suit.

Eli noted, “He mentioned, ‘This isn’t a good situation, so I’m outta here, trying to beat traffic.’ He’s not feeling well and left.” Barkley chimed in, “Honestly, I’m not in the mood for that pink suit, either. It’s a bit late for that.”

This loss marked Dallas’ second consecutive defeat, following a 44-24 loss to the Broncos on October 26.

During Smith’s radio show, Jones suggested he was pursuing a significant trade deal ahead of Tuesday’s 4 PM ET deadline.

The Cowboys reportedly agreed to acquire Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson on Tuesday morning.

Aikman remarked during Monday’s game, “He might want to reconsider that trade. From what I saw tonight, I don’t think there’s a player who’ll make a difference in this team.”

The Cowboys, now 3-5, will prepare for their upcoming game against the Raiders, who are currently 2-6, in Las Vegas on November 17.
