The biographical sports film from A24 features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the role of Mark Carr, a mixed martial artist and UFC champion. The story centers on Carr’s relentless pursuit of greatness, which turned him into a legendary figure but also came at a significant personal cost.
Emily Blunt plays the role of Dawn Staples, Carr’s ex-wife.
Premiering at the Venice Film Festival in August 2025, the film’s director, Benny Safdie, won the Silver Lion for Best Director.
