Newsom shares video of Democrats taking down GOP following the election

Newsom posts video of Democrats body-slamming GOP after election

California Governor Celebrates Democratic Wins

On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom shared his excitement on social media following significant victories for Democrats in several key elections nationwide.

Known for his outspoken nature and potential candidacy in the 2028 presidential race, Newsom posted a creative video that featured professional wrestlers battling, with the faces of notable politicians digitally placed on the wrestlers’ bodies.

The video kicks off with a wrestler donning President Trump’s face landing a punch on a wrestler representing former President Obama. Obama’s character retaliates, pushing the Trump figure several steps back. A wrestler resembling Vice President Vance is also seen on the mat.

As the Trump character stumbles, Newsom’s likeness enters the scene from the left, using a trash can to shove Trump back. The Obama figure subsequently kicks Trump, who collides into Newsom, leading to a dramatic body slam.

The clip transitions to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, depicted as “Dominator Hakeem Rockbottoms,” landing punches on a wrestler portraying House Speaker Mike Johnson. In another scene, a wrestler representing White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller looms over a fallen Sen. Alex Padilla, before Padilla sidesteps and tackles Miller instead.

In the finale of the video, a wrestler with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s face triumphs over an opponent featuring White House border czar Tom Homan’s likeness.

“This is what we call a takedown,” Newsom commented alongside the video on platform X.

Newsom secured a victory for California’s mid-decade redistricting, potentially allowing Democrats to gain up to five additional seats in the 2026 midterms. He justified the move as a reaction to Texas’s similar initiative supported by Trump.

Tuesday’s results reflected a strong night for Democrats overall, with notable victories in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City’s mayoral race. Newsom celebrated these successes in multiple posts later that evening.

In a follow-up message, he shared an AI-created meme depicting Trump in a red hat, seemingly distressed, with text that cleverly read, “Newsom was right about everything,” instead of Trump’s original slogan.

Shortly past midnight, Newsom responded to a White House post while holding an American flag emblazoned with “Make America Great Again!” He simply stated, “I just did it,” reflecting his playful confidence.
