Trump Emphasizes Positive Aspects of the Economy in Business Forum Speech

During a speech at the American Business Forum in Miami, Florida, President Donald Trump emphasized positive economic indicators such as increasing wages, decreasing prices, and lowered interest rates.

He highlighted that, on average, miners’ wages have risen by about $5,000, while construction workers have seen an increase of $2,200, and factory workers have gained around $1,300.

In addition to rising wages, Trump pointed out that many essential goods are becoming less expensive. He cited Walmart’s announcement that the average cost of Thanksgiving dinner this year is expected to drop significantly. Previously, a meal for ten was approximately $40, which averages to around $4 per person—a considerable decrease from last year’s average of $7 per person, which occurred during a time of high inflation.

Egg prices have reportedly plummeted by 85 percent since March, contrasting sharply with the Biden-Harris administration’s record of a 147% rise from their inauguration until a few months before Trump’s 2016 election win.

Trump also mentioned energy costs and new mortgage prices have dropped by $3,000 this year. Additionally, interest rates have decreased to between 3.75% and 4%, influenced by a rate cut that occurred in late October.

He noted job growth as well, stating that since he took office, 1.9 million natural-born Americans have found employment, with all new jobs attributed to the private sector.

“Since January, we’ve seen 100,000 bureaucrats step down from federal positions. Government spending has decreased by 2.5% compared to last year,” he also remarked.
