Thanksgiving Meal Costs Drop Under Trump Administration
The cost of Thanksgiving meals has seen a decline this year, contrasting with prices during former President Joe Biden’s time in office.
Under President Trump, the prices for Thanksgiving dinners are reportedly on the decline, which could lighten the financial burden for many families this holiday season.
“Walmart recently revealed that Thanksgiving dinner costs in 2024 were 25 percent lower than during the Biden administration. Affordability truly favors Republicans. Let’s hope they recognize this undeniable truth!”
“Walmart’s data shows that in 2025, Thanksgiving meals under Trump are 25 percent cheaper than last year’s under Biden. My expenses are way lower than anything from the Democrats, especially for oil and gas! So much for their narrative about ‘affordability,’” he noted in another post on Truth Social.
Last year, Walmart showcased an “inflation-free” Thanksgiving meal that served eight for under $7 per person. This season, the store is now offering meals for ten folks for less than $4 a head.
Besides Walmart, other retailers are also providing some of the most affordable Thanksgiving options in recent years.
Target is announcing its lowest-ever Thanksgiving meal prices, under $5 per person. Aldi’s offerings are $7 less than last year, averaging around $4 each. Additionally, grocery chain Schnucks has frozen turkeys on sale at prices not seen in over 15 years.
