Tragic Family Shooting in the Bronx
The sister of the man accused of killing three family members in a shocking incident in the Bronx expressed a desire for revenge, saying she wished he were still alive so she could take his life herself.
Tangier Stokes argued her brother, Kaseem Stokes, 44, must have been haunted by demons when he fatally attacked their 75-year-old mother, his daughter, and her boyfriend in a brutal act on Wednesday at their home in the Castle Hill House housing project.
“If I had it my way, I would take his life,” she mentioned in an interview. “I would wake him up and shoot him.”
She further suggested that her brother was influenced by dark thoughts, saying, “The devil was on his shoulder, whispering in his ear.”
On the day of the shooting, Kaseem was set to appear in court regarding a prior incident. During the attack, he allegedly opened fire in the family’s fifth-floor apartment, leading to a horrific scene.
Tangier reflected on her brother’s past, mentioning that his time in prison might have altered his mind and contributed to his violent behavior. “When they’re locked up, it changes them,” she said. “They become paranoid.”
Records show Kaseem’s recent arrest for reckless endangerment and illegal weapon possession stemmed from an incident in the Bronx last September.
As of now, investigators have yet to establish a clear motive behind the tragic events of Wednesday.
While the police have not officially confirmed Kaseem as the shooter, it is believed he was the one who fired the fatal shots.
