Several popular restaurant and cafe chains are offering free food, drinks, and buy-one-get-one deals this Veterans Day, specifically for veterans and active-duty military members.
Here’s a list of some notable restaurants providing Veterans Day promotions. Keep in mind that military identification is typically required for all offers unless stated otherwise.
Applebee’s
Applebee’s is giving veterans and active military personnel a chance to enjoy free select entrees from a limited menu all day long. This marks the 18th consecutive year the restaurant has run a Veterans Day offer, according to its website. Note that this deal is for dine-in customers only.
Buffalo Wild Wings
At Buffalo Wild Wings, past and present military members can get 10 free boneless wings along with a free order of regular fries. This offer is available for dine-in guests only. If you happen to visit a Buffalo Wild Wings Go location, walk-in orders can also take advantage of the offer.
California Pizza Kitchen
At California Pizza Kitchen, every veteran or active military member will receive a complimentary beverage and an entree from a limited selection. Drink choices include Coca-Cola, iced tea, or passion fruit mango iced tea. The entree options span four full-sized salads, six pizzas, or three pasta dishes.
Chili’s
Veterans and active military personnel at participating Chili’s locations can get a free meal alongside a non-alcoholic beverage from a special menu. This deal only applies to those dining in.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
For those visiting Chipotle between 4 PM and 8 PM, you can buy one entree and get another of equal or lesser value for free. Chipotle’s President expressed gratitude towards military personnel, stating it’s an honor to serve those who serve the country.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
Veterans and active military members are invited to enjoy a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special throughout the day. This offer includes two buttermilk pancakes, along with your choice of eggs or a savory breakfast meat. This option is available for dine-in customers only.
Denny’s
Denny’s is treating veterans to a free Original Grand Slam from 5 AM to noon, which comes with buttermilk pancakes, bacon, sausage links, and eggs made to order. This is a nationwide offer at participating locations.
Golden Corral
Golden Corral is hosting a Military Appreciation Night, offering veterans and current military members a complimentary buffet dinner from 4 PM until close. This annual event has been running for 25 years and has served millions of meals since its inception.
Hy-Vee
Hy-Vee will provide a complimentary buffet breakfast to veterans and active-duty military from 6 AM to 10 AM. In addition, they also offer a 15% discount on groceries for military personnel. This tradition has been ongoing since 1999.
IHOP
At IHOP, veterans can enjoy the Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo, which includes blueberry pancakes, two eggs, hash browns, and either bacon or sausage links. This offer is valid from 7 AM to 7 PM at participating locations.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme is giving away a free small hot or iced coffee along with a donut to veterans and military members. This offer can be redeemed either in-store or at the drive-thru.
Outback Steakhouse
Outback welcomes current and former military personnel with a complimentary three-course meal, which consists of a soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert.
Shake Shack
