Epstein Cut Ties with Clinton Over Trust Issues
In recently released emails submitted to Congress, it appears that Jeffrey Epstein severed his friendship with Bill Clinton due to suspicions about the former president’s honesty. These communications provide a glimpse into Epstein’s personal views and relationships.
The House Oversight Committee has unearthed thousands of emails, revealing that Kathryn Lemmler, a former White House adviser to President Barack Obama, was in contact with Epstein and the two often discussed political matters leading up to the 2016 election.
In an email dated January 23, 2016, Epstein expressed his decision to cut off communications with Clinton after he felt the president had lied to him—first assuring him one thing, then contradicting himself shortly thereafter.
Ruemmler, during a preceding conversation, noted the concerning nature of Clinton’s behavior, describing it as “very close to being psychotic” and highlighting his apparent lack of conscience. “It’s scary,” she remarked.
Ruemmler, who was mentioned as a backup executor of Epstein’s estate as of January 2019, encouraged Epstein to share details about Clinton, saying she would “accept it” regardless of what he might reveal.
While the emails indicate a falling out, Clinton’s name still surfaces in other emails within the massive collection, leaving the exact timeline of their conflict somewhat murky.
Additionally, on April 5, 2018, theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss proposed organizing a “World Men’s Conference” and included a guest list featuring Clinton, actor Kevin Spacey, former Senator Al Franken, and filmmaker Woody Allen—all of whom faced sexual misconduct allegations in recent years.
These records provide insight into Epstein’s network in the political sphere surrounding the contentious 2016 election. As of now, representatives for Clinton and Ruemmler have not responded to inquiries for comments.
