Party Rhetoric Alienating Voters, Says Strategist
On Fox News, Democratic strategist Michael LaRosa voiced concerns about his party’s use of extreme language, suggesting it might be pushing voters away.
During his appearance on the “Wide Awake Podcast,” Hunter Biden criticized journalist Miranda Devine, stating she is “horrible inside and out” and implying that her death would go unnoticed. LaRosa responded during “The Ingraham Angle,” where he addressed how Democrats justify Biden’s harsh remarks, which the former president has often endorsed.
LaRosa expressed clear frustration, saying, “My party is out of control because of hyperbole, aggressive rhetoric, Nazis, fascists, dictators, etc.” He pointed out that voters are increasingly hesitant to listen to Democrats due to this exaggerated language.
He mentioned Hunter Biden’s claim about “speaking truth to power,” noting that Hunter desires Democrats to become more vocal against what he sees as lies from MAGA commentators. However, LaRosa disagrees with this approach, arguing that if everyone is labeled as a fascist or a Nazi, then those terms lose their meaning.
LaRosa emphasized that Democrats are losing touch with voters by resorting to inflammatory speech rather than persuasive dialogue. He remarked, “This is a real disgrace to history and to people who actually suffered under dictatorships, Nazis, etc. So that’s where I disagree with Hunter. His point, though, suggests that Democrats need to confront dishonest Republican commentators more assertively.”
The heated exchanges between the two parties have escalated, particularly after former Vice President Kamala Harris labeled President Donald Trump a fascist, and Joe Biden called for Trump’s imprisonment. This escalation has contributed to an already tense political climate, marked by two assassination attempts against Trump—one in July, where a gunman nearly hit him during a Pennsylvania rally, and another in September involving an armed individual apprehended near a Florida golf club.
