Garlin’s Post-Game Excitement in Red Wings Locker Room

Jeff Garlin was visibly excited during his visit to the Red Wings’ locker room following Sunday night’s game against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

The comedian, known for his role in “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” caught the game before dropping by the visitors’ dressing area after the Red Wings secured a 2-1 victory over the Rangers. He even joined Moritz Seider for a media chat.

When asked about the significance of his team’s performance after an overtime loss to the Sabres the night before, Seider held back his response, perhaps trying to gauge Garlin’s mood first.

“It’s very important. We were killed, and I hated it,” Garlin quipped, trying to lighten the atmosphere as he addressed the press.

As Seider began to respond to questions, Garlin interrupted, “Oh no, that’s why I felt good tonight,” he added, humorously shifting focus.

The game ended with a tense moment as the Red Wings’ Mason Appleton scored into an empty net, prompting an angry reaction from Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick, leading to a scrum that had both teams on the ice.

“Can I say something? I was trying to climb over the glass to get into the scrum,” Garlin said next to a smiling Sider. “I’m Scrum. I’ve been Scrum… How long have I been Scrum?”

Sider responded that Garlin had been at it for “several years,” to which Garlin declared, “I’ve been doing Scrum since before you were born. I’m Scrum!”

Garlin attended the game as a guest of the Rangers, wearing their gear. Interestingly, he once had a friendship with Red Wings announcer Ken Daniels, according to reports.

He even walked into the Red Wings locker room sporting a Rangers cap but received a Red Wings hat from the team staff, adding a lighthearted twist to the situation.

Garlin is widely recognized for his performances in both “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Goldbergs,” making appearances that bring his comedic flair to various events.
