Keanu Reeves Thanks Authorities After Stolen Rolex Recovery
Keanu Reeves has expressed his gratitude to those who helped recover his valuable ‘John Wick’ Rolex, which was stolen from his home in Los Angeles by an international criminal group.
In a handwritten letter, Reeves conveyed his appreciation to the FBI, Los Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol, and Chilean law enforcement. “I want to express my deep gratitude,” he wrote, acknowledging their hard work and cooperation.
The Rolex Submariner, featuring a personal inscription from the “John Wick” film, was one of six watches returned to him. Valued at $9,500, this watch was part of a gift set given to cast and crew after filming wrapped on “John Wick: Chapter 4,” with the total worth of the six watches estimated at around $125,000.
The recovery of some of the stolen items follows a broader problem of foreign criminals targeting wealthy areas in Southern California, entering the U.S. to commit thefts before returning to their countries. It remains a concerning trend, as such groups have increasingly focused on affluent neighborhoods.
After a period of uncertainty regarding the case, law enforcement was able to track the Chilean gang believed to be responsible. Working together, the FBI and Chilean police conducted searches of the suspects’ homes, ultimately leading to the recovery of the watches.
