Veteran Trader Makes Bold Predictions About Bitcoin

Peter Brandt, who has been involved in trading futures since 1975, is often referred to as a “market wizard.” Known for his track record, he has accurately predicted movements across cryptocurrencies, commodities, and foreign exchange markets.

He gained significant attention for predicting the major gold reversal in the 1980s and notably forecasted that Bitcoin (BTC) would drop below $4,000 in 2018. At the time of this prediction, BTC was trading above $10,000, but, rather astonishingly, it indeed fell below $4,000 in December of that year.

Brandt’s approach, which utilizes technical analysis of price charts, has earned him a strong following among traders, especially within the realm of digital assets.

Currently, the cryptocurrency market is facing a considerable sell-off. Bitcoin is having difficulty climbing above $90,000 after experiencing a remarkable high of over $123,000 just last month.

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin’s value has decreased by 4.5%, with over $140 million in positions being liquidated.

Brandt recently shared another projection. On November 19th, he pointed out that a small breakout on November 11th was immediately succeeded by an 8-day low, indicating a continuing decline in prices.

Additionally, he discussed the “completion of the expansive summit,” which refers to a sequence of rising highs followed by falling lows—something he believes is drawing to a close. This could mean a potential collapse for Bitcoin.

Brandt has suggested new price targets for Bitcoin: $81,000 and $58,000. He remarked that:

“Those who claim to be big buyers at $58,000 now will be big buyers by the time BTC hits $60,000.”

If Brandt’s forecast materializes, as it did in 2018, Bitcoin may plummet 35% to reach $58,000, which could mark one of the most significant crashes in cryptocurrency history.
