NFL Injuries Impact Game Between Bills and Texans

This season has been tough for NFL teams, with injuries wreaking havoc. The situation escalated during a game between the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans on Thursday night.

Referee Adrian Hill found himself struggling on the field during the third quarter. He appeared to pull up while observing a Texans’ drive, and as he moved, it became clear he was in discomfort, clutching his left leg.

Ultimately, Hill needed assistance to leave the field and was carted off to the locker room. Referee Roy Ellison took over officiating for the remainder of the game.

Hill’s tenure in the NFL began in 2010, starting as a linesman before moving up to referee in 2019 after the retirement of Pete Morelli and Walt Coleman.

Interestingly, Ellison has had his share of controversy as an official. In 2018, he was involved in a conflict with Bills’ defensive lineman Jerry Hughes, who accused him of inappropriate conduct after a game. This incident led to Ellison receiving a fine for the altercation.

Throughout the match, injuries seemed to plague both teams. Bills quarterback Josh Allen faced a hard hit and required examination. Teammates Khalil Shakir, Maxwell Hairston, and Dion Dawkins were also subjected to concussion protocols. Additionally, linebacker Terrell Bernard injured his elbow and could not continue for the rest of the game.

On the Texans’ side, they were missing key players like quarterback CJ Stroud and safety Jalen Pitre, both sidelined due to injuries.
