The body of a missing girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was discovered in the trunk of a deserted Tesla belonging to singer D4vd. Reports indicate that her remains were frozen, decapitated, and mutilated, making it difficult for the authorities to determine a precise cause of death.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office noted that her body was in such a state that it appeared “partially frozen.” As a result, officials are struggling to pin down how she died. According to sources, the cause of death might ultimately be listed as “unknown.”
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is being sought as a suspect in the tragic case, although no arrests have surfaced yet. Interestingly, another individual has been implicated as well. This information came to light during an episode of TMZ’s 2 Angry Men podcast, hosted by Mark Geragos.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department traced the suspect’s phone and social media activities to the scene in the Hollywood Hills around the timeframe of Rivas’ death.
Latest Updates on the Case of Celeste Rivas
The day after her 15th birthday, on September 8, Celeste’s body was found wrapped in plastic inside the singer’s abandoned car, which had been towed from a road in the Hollywood Hills. Authorities are still trying to ascertain how long the vehicle had been left there, but it had been ticketed about two weeks prior.
After the car was taken away, it was several days before her remains were discovered, following complaints from parking lot staff about an unusual smell. Police believe Rivas had a history of running away from home and was reported missing in early 2024. They suspect she might have died in the spring, and investigations continue to explore whether her death was a homicide or the result of an overdose.
As the police dig deeper, they aim to understand the involvement of D4vd and any possible accomplices. Notably, connections between them were uncovered, including old messages in a Discord fan server suggesting a relationship between the pop star and a girl named Celeste.
Interestingly, D4vd had written an unreleased song mentioning “Celeste” multiple times, but Celeste’s mother found out that her daughter was dating a boy named “David.” Meanwhile, the mansion the singer rented in the Hollywood Hills is reportedly being prepared for re-listing, as confirmed by recent news sources.
