Robert Irwin and Xochitl Gomez certainly didn’t shy away from the dating speculation during a recent pre-show gathering.

Irwin, a finalist on the latest season of Dancing with the Stars, was seen enjoying some private moments with Gomez just ahead of the finale.

In photos obtained by TMZ, Gomez, who is 19, presented Irwin with a large bouquet of flowers. She hugged him warmly from the side while smiling at him as they chatted.

For the occasion, Gomez opted for a chic black strapless dress with a detachable collar, while Irwin donned a shimmering black button-up shirt paired with slacks.

Sources mentioned that Gomez also spent time behind the scenes with Irwin’s family.

Rumors about their relationship began when Gomez, the winner of this season’s dance competition alongside Val Chmerkovskiy, performed a spectacular routine during the show’s 20th-anniversary celebration earlier this month.

When TMZ hinted at the buzz surrounding their potential romance, Irwin downplayed it, expressing instead how much “fun” he had during the emotional performance.

“Oh my god, I had the best time,” he remarked, emphasizing the enjoyment he felt in that moment.

Irwin showcased a vibrant jive to Olly Murs’ “Dance with Me Tonight,” and he also honored his late father, Robert, his sister, Bindi, and his professional partner, Witney Carson, during his Foxtrot.

“It was so cool to perform two such different dances,” he noted in an interview.

Regarding Gomez, he expressed, “She’s the best. She was really, really great.”

Interestingly, just hours before the performance, Irwin suffered a rib injury, which added an unexpected challenge to their preparation. Carson shared on TikTok that he was in pain and that their routines had to be altered, making the process all the more stressful.

This situation has only fueled more curiosity about their connection.
