Tragic Fire Claims Lives of Three Children in Wisconsin

A Wisconsin mother is grappling with profound grief after losing her three children in a Thanksgiving fire at their father’s apartment. He expressed that he would have rather perished than allow his children to suffer in his care.

“It’s easy to say, ‘I would have done this or that,’ but the reality is, the situation was so different,” Jordan Feasby shared, reflecting on the tragedy that unfolded during the Kenosha fire on Thursday night.

“Had I found myself in that situation, I truly believe my kids would have made it out, or I wouldn’t have survived with them,” she told CBS 58.

Feasby’s children, Riley, 10, Connor, 9, and Alena, 7, met their untimely end after she had dropped them off to spend the holiday weekend with their father.

Later that evening, she received a devastating call from her sister—their lives had been taken by the fire.

“I was looking forward to shopping for Christmas, and now it feels like I’m just planning for a funeral,” she expressed. “They were the source of joy that I just don’t have anymore.”

The fire erupted in the apartment around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Riley and Connor lost their lives at the scene, while Alena was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Their father, Feasby’s ex-boyfriend, suffered from smoke inhalation but has since been released from the hospital.

The cause of the fire remains a mystery, and an investigation is ongoing.

Feasby admits to being in shock, struggling to comprehend the news she received that night.

“I just couldn’t grasp what I was hearing,” she remarked, as she recounted the harrowing moment.

“They were everything to me—truly the brightest parts of my existence,” she said. “Now, my life feels so empty, and I feel incredibly isolated.”

“There’s some solace in knowing they are together; it’s just hard for me, selfishly, since I wish I hadn’t been left behind,” she added, conveying the depth of her sorrow.
