Father of Missing Florida Girl Expresses Frustration Over Mother’s Behavior

The father of a missing girl from Florida has shared his distressing experience when he sought information about his daughter’s mother, who is currently in jail.

“She seemed angry,” remarked Gordon Terrelong after visiting Persha Davis at the Broward County Jail during Thanksgiving. He had hoped she might show some concern, recognizing that their daughter is missing and that people care about her well-being.

Gordon claims he has not seen his 10-year-old daughter, Gabby, since May, when they all lived together in an Orlando-area motel. The family often faced homelessness, and Davis has struggled with schizophrenia.

Things escalated before Davis took Gabby from the motel, following a heated argument between her and Gordon. Their situation became more complicated when, a couple of months ago, a judge prohibited Gordon from being near Davis.

In October, Gordon found out that Davis had been arrested for shoplifting, and, quite worryingly, no one seemed to know where Gabby was.

He reported his daughter missing on October 29, shortly after Davis was re-arrested for child neglect, although she was not physically harmed.

There was a sighting of Davis and Gabby on a bus together on June 20, but by July 7, Davis had taken another bus alone, without her daughter.

Davis has since been uncooperative with authorities, asserting only that she returned Gabby to Gordon before she went missing. However, Gordon has firmly denied involvement in his daughter’s disappearance and even passed a police polygraph test.

“I can’t comprehend why she isn’t expressing any concern when Gabby is in such a perilous situation. It just doesn’t add up,” he expressed, noting the absurdity of the world they live in.

Gordon went into his Thanksgiving visit hoping for answers from the mother he remembers fondly as a caring person, but it didn’t go as he had anticipated.

“I was really looking for answers because, honestly, the whole situation is not good. The holidays are tough for me right now,” he admitted. “It really ruined my day. It was horrible, to be honest.”
