‘There Is No Such Thing as a Palestinian’

'There Is No Such Thing as a Palestinian'

“A society that sacrifices its own children for sympathy and power is essentially a death cult. And the liberal West supports that lie,” said Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas co-founder. He discussed Hamas’ tactic of using Gaza’s civilians as human shields to garner global sympathy.

In a recent interview, Yousef, who distanced himself from Hamas and collaborated with Israeli intelligence as the “Green Prince,” issued a strong message to Western progressives, especially as support for the Palestinian cause reaches unprecedented levels.

This warning coincided with two significant anniversaries for Israel: 78 years since the UN Partition Plan, which led to conflict, and National Day, marking the expulsion of nearly 900,000 Jews from Arab countries after the creation of Israel.

“The world has forgotten history,” Yousef remarked. “But history is repeating itself, and this time the liberal West is supporting it.”

“Their strategy is to sacrifice children to claim genocide.”

Drawing from his experiences within Hamas, Yousef suggested that the group’s actions on October 7 and throughout decades of violence were never about territory or borders, but rather focused on maximizing civilian suffering for political leverage and to sway Western opinions.

“This is their tactic,” he stated. “They place children in danger, weaponize everyday people, escalate risks on both sides, and use that suffering to instigate perpetual conflict.”

He emphasized that Hamas acknowledges it cannot prevail against Israel militarily.

“They realize they can’t win in a traditional war,” he explained. “So, they aim to defeat Israel in the court of Western public opinion by inflicting significant civilian casualties and then crying ‘genocide’.”

Yousef mentioned that the October 7 attack was premeditated to take place in a densely populated area, with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar indicating he anticipated Israel’s response, framing the attack as a trap to generate harrowing imagery for Western media.

“They orchestrated the entire conflict,” he claimed. “Their goal was to elicit sympathy, and many liberal Western nations fell for it.”

In contrast, Yousef argued that Israel took extensive measures to mitigate civilian casualties against an adversary that has spent decades weaponizing civilians, creating a culture that glorifies martyrdom and uses children as instruments, well aware that activists in cities like New York, London, and Paris would readily condemn any perceived genocide by Israel.

“There is no real Palestinian identity. It’s a made-up concept,” he stated. He criticized the so-called Palestinian narrative as a “mask” designed to justify ongoing violence and the refusal to acknowledge Israel’s existence, even as that narrative echoes on American campuses.

“After 77 years of advocating violence, this facade must come down,” he asserted. “They shouldn’t be punished for nearly a century of chaos and bloodshed.”

Yousef elaborated that the term “Palestinian” is a created identity attributed to those who manipulate power by sacrificing their own people.

He expressed his disdain for both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, stating that they were endangering the futures of their children for political benefits.

“My frustration is directed at Hamas and the Palestinian Authority,” he emphasized. “They are irresponsible. They show little regard for Arab or Jewish children.”

Yousef also warned that young people in the West, sympathetic to the Palestinian plight, often see the situation as a simplistic narrative of oppressors versus the oppressed, making them susceptible to Hamas propaganda aimed at fostering a victim mindset.

“This generation perceives everything as black and white,” he said. “They view Hamas as freedom fighters.”

Recent voting trends reveal a drop in American support for Israel, particularly among younger Democrats who exhibit increasing sympathy for Palestinians and condemn Israeli actions in Gaza.

“They lack historical understanding,” Yousef remarked. “They don’t grasp what 77 years of Palestinian violence entailed or the implications of Hamas’ ideology.”

As a former insider, he noted that Hamas strategically crafts its narrative to exploit generational gaps in knowledge.

“Hamas has mastered this dynamic,” Yousef noted. “If you present as the victim, the underdog holding a rifle against powerful armies, the West will rally behind you. Many individuals are discontented with their lives and desire a revolution, and Hamas capitalizes on that sentiment.”

He stressed the choice between “a revolution mired in chaos, destruction, and violence versus an evolution driven by education, understanding, tolerance, and peace.” Yet, too many in liberal Western circles seem to favor the chaotic path without realizing the potential consequences.

“The liberal West is nurturing this beast, which will ultimately have repercussions,” he cautioned.

Yousef asserted that those in the West who support claims of genocide against Palestinians, despite clear knowledge of Hamas’ tactics, are endangering themselves and Israelis alike.

“You can choose to accept their narrative,” he warned. “But in doing so, you risk inviting violence into your own lives.”

Accusing Western nations of misconstruing reality, he argued that such views bolster Hamas and organizations like Islamic Jihad.

“They’re nurturing the monster,” he claimed. “They are endorsing savagery.”

He cautioned that jihadist ambitions extend beyond mere rockets, encompassing economic, diplomatic, and physical forms.

“Today, we’re experiencing economic and diplomatic jihad,” he clarified. “Liberal Western countries are opening their borders under the guise of compassion.”

He expressed confidence in Israel’s resilience but raised concerns about the future in Western nations.

“Israel is strong, united, and experienced,” Yousef insisted. “But the situation in Europe and the U.S. is uncertain. People may one day look back in disbelief as their circumstances suddenly collapse, like falling dominoes.”

“This conflict was never about territory. It has always aimed to dismantle Israel and the West,” Youssef emphasized.

He contended that the global perspective on the conflict was fundamentally flawed, stating that “occupation” and “genocide” narratives are false. He noted Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza was intended to empower the Gazans to establish a state, yet they chose to vote for Hamas and utilized the region as a base for warfare. Recent polls indicated that many Palestinians still endorse the October 7 attacks while denying any associated atrocities.

He reiterated that Hamas’ true intentions embody the ideology he was raised with: “Destroy Israel. Subdue non-Muslim entities. Force humanity to yield to Allah and Islam.” He framed this not as a quest for nationhood or freedom, but an ideological battle. He highlighted that proposals for a Palestinian state have been consistently spurned because “peace was never the objective.”

“Israel accepted every peace proposal,” he noted. “The Palestinians opted for violence each time.”

Wrapping up, Yousef implored Americans and the broader liberal West to reflect on their motivations when advocating for the “Palestinian” cause.

“We must see things as they truly are,” he urged. “We need to question: Are their claims to the land valid? Is their violence justifiable? Is Israel truly the villain it’s often portrayed as?”

“Avoiding truth in favor of emotion will lead to catastrophic results,” he cautioned. “Heed the voices of those who have endured this reality. If you don’t, you’ll face the consequences.”
