Punjabi Devils Founder Sentenced to Over Five Years in Prison

The leader of the outlaw motorcycle gang, Punjabi Devils, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison following a significant firearms trafficking incident in the Central Valley.

On Monday, federal district judge handed down a sentence of five years and four months to 27-year-old Jashanpreet Singh for his illegal activities. This decision comes after he pleaded guilty to trafficking firearms and unauthorized possession of machine guns, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of California.

Singh is known as the head of a biker gang associated with the Hells Angels in Stockton.

In February, federal officials revealed that Singh had tried to sell illegal firearms to undercover agents. He even attempted to evade justice by skipping a court date and booking a one-way flight to India.

Singh was apprehended at San Francisco International Airport on July 23, as he was preparing to leave the country. He had been trying to sell various illegal weapons, including an assault rifle and machine gun converters, when he was arrested in June 2025.

During a search of his home, law enforcement found a variety of firearms, including a grenade and a claymore mine equipped with a military detonator, which created a need for controlled detonation at the site during the search.

He was notably absent from a court hearing on state charges a month later, allegedly planning to flee California for India.

Federal authorities are treating Singh’s case as part of a broader initiative named “Operation Take Back America,” which aims to mobilize resources to combat illegal immigration, dismantle cartels and transnational crime groups, and safeguard communities from violent crime.

As of now, Singh remains in federal custody. The Department of Justice has reached out for further details regarding the case.
